The world from your sofa
Pick a city and go on a virtual holiday: a guide tells the stories of its famous sights out loud while big photos fill your screen. Every trip, real or virtual, colours in your own world map.
Guided tours of 138 world capitals are ready to listen to in English. The full app with the world map and passport is in Finnish for now, under the name Lomakuume.
Start with a capital
Every tour has an introduction and the city's best-known sights. Press Start the guided tour and the guide reads them to you, one sight after another.
A map that fills up as you go
Every country and city starts out grey. Mark where you have been, and watch your map come alive.
- Been there for real
- Virtual holiday
- Wishlist
- Still to discover
Listen to three sights in a city and you earn a virtual holiday stamp in your passport. Being there in person is a different colour, so your map tells both stories.
More than a map
Guided tours in 600+ cities
From Rome and Kyoto to Dubrovnik and Buenos Aires. The stories are based on Wikipedia and read by a natural-sounding AI voice.
Passport and achievements
Collect stamps, level up as a traveller and unlock 70+ achievements, from the Nordics to every country in Europe.
Ask the guide
Curious about the food, the best time to visit or a hidden gem? Ask the guide anything about the city.
Your travel diary
Log your trips and plans, write notes and keep your own photos city by city. They even show up on your map.
Find travel buddies
Invite friends and see when you share a dream destination. Friends only see your wishlist and the places you have been.
Quiz yourself
After a tour, test what you remember with a quick photo quiz.
The full app is coming in English
Sofa Voyage is the English edition of Lomakuume, a virtual travel app made in Finland. The tours are here already; the world map, passport stamps and photo tours are next.
